Spring break time in Texas ,we “shipped” our teanagers for fun times in NewYork with Grandma/pa and drove with the little one to Destin Florida.

 12 hours drive for us considered an easy drive ,crossed Louisiana ,Mississippi , Alabama into Florida .There are many great place to visit on the way like Mobile AL and New Orleans LA ,but will leave that to another post.

 The Beach :

 Destin beach is amazing competing with many other beaches in the world.

White sand ,clear blue water ,clean beach ,just amazing.

Had my first long run on the beach ,9 miles of quiet time , just me the Gulf of Mexico ,other runners ,great music and early rise fishermans.

The Hotel :

Found a great deal at Hilton app ,recommending to join Hilton Honor to enjoy the great deals .

Hilton Sandestin is an amazing resort on the beach ,offering great  Junior suite with bunks beds ,kids were thrilled.

Several pools including one indoor and several restaurant to choose from , delivered a great stay in Destin.

The food :

We love seafood , fresh whole fish and raw oysters are our favorite.

Once we saw Emeril Lagasse has a restaurant in town ,we immediately booked it.

Turned out to be an amazing dinner and a 2nd visit two nights after.

We also had the pleasure to meet Emeril in person.

Emerils Coastal Italian offered amazing cocktails, great appetizers but the fish ,whole and fish of the day ,topped them all .

Desserts are great and if you celebrate birthday ,you get a cotton candy .

Apparently everyone celebrate birthday there …

 Fishing trip :

I didn’t imaging how much fun we will have ,it was a blast.

we booked 4h fishing charter ,were they teach you how to fish and every one caught some.

The staff clean the fish or fillet them as you wish,to take home or cook after.

 It’s time to go back home ,took my red Ferrari for a ride , in my dream …

Loaded our truck and headed back to Texas

We will be back for sure …
